54 Parashot is an exploration of contemporary Jewish identity and an attempt to create a non-representational Torah of pure feeling. By utilizing the materials of Torah while removing the words, I am trying to capture the experience of identifying with and experiencing the divine without having a direct connection to the historical script (and its accompanying baggage) of the Torah. This work began in 2023 and will continue until I have created scroll for each of the weekly parashot.
