Inspired by the Cubist Heydukova Street Synagouge in Bratislava, Slovakia, this collection of judaica utilizes Czech-Cubist design principals to deliver a modern take on these traditional objects of ritual importance. The collection includes a mezuzah case, a hanukkiah, shabbat candle holders and hamsa charms. The work seeks to capture a moment in history of Slavic and Jewish collaboration which resulted in a beautiful, new and unique space that could only exist in the confluence of the two cultures, with the hope of cementing this bond and encouraging a further spirit of coming together between these two communities.
